Mzbel Snubbing Female Musicians Is Unhealthy

The beautiful songstress, Mzbel has just snubbed female musicians for the males on her upcoming music project ‘MZBEL ROCKS CONCERT’

The free to play charity concert has lineup only male artistes with Mzbel as the only female act since she doubled as the organizer (Mzbel Music).

The singer’s action has become a debatable issue as it is seen to be a gross disrespect to her

female counterparts. The open truth is, there is no unity amongst Ghanaian female musicians; unlike their male colleagues who take delight in working with their fellow males.

In the highlight of this, some entertainment pundits who have being advocating for unity among female musicians in Ghana have condemned the move, describing it as unhealthy.

To them, the ‘Mzbel Rocks Concert’ could have been of the one few opportunity grounds for the female acts in showcasing their musical endowments to the world, hence promoting unity. Strangely, there is not a single female musician on lineup list. Meanwhile Ghana is blessed with talented and influential female musicians.

Another advocator for female musicians’ unity is Shegee Styla. The dancehall artiste has in her several interviews submitted that most female musicians fear competition, and they would do everything within their power to sideline fellow female singers from rocking their stages.

In awake of issues, two imminent reasons popped up as to why a female musician would not bill another female act on her show.

-The fear of competition that the billed artiste might outshine her

-Disrespect for other female musicians

The ‘Mzbel Rocks Concert’ is an annual charity event through which the musician reaches out to people in some selected communities she grew up.
